Not to dredge up painful memories or encourage loutish behavior, but this is grist for the artistic mill. I’m working on a screenplay with a friend (think CLERKS meets HIGH FIDELITY meets AMERICAN PSYCHO meets VERY BAD THINGS, sort of) and there’s one character who’s a bit like Kevin Smith’s Randall (or even Jay) would have been if he was created by David Mamet, only maybe more vile.
So, what are some real life examples of leering, sexist, lecherous, crude, drooling, horndog remarks? Ones you’ve heard from either complete strangers or casual acquaintances? Especially ones that the nimrod who made them seems to think is a compliment.
I should add that I’m not just trying to make one character a crude drooling horndog. Part of is his interplay with another character is that the other one then shows how these remarks can be “improved” by being dressed up in fancy metaphors and iambic pentameter,
